Our Inaugural SDYC Anglers 1.5 Day Trip will be taking place July 5-7, 2024 on the Red Rooster III. All SDYC friends and family are welcome to join in on the fun! In order to secure your spot on this trip, please sign up by clicking on the Registration link and pay your 50% deposit now.
Have a friends who wants to join the trip who is not a member of SDYC? NO PROBLEM! The trip is open to all SDYC seaworthy anglers and their families. The trip is open to all seaworthy anglers and their families. There is a limited load of 31 passengers on the Red Rooster III, so all attendees must sign up to join in on the fun. What to Bring:
Fishing License and/or a Rod and Reel Rentals:
Location: The boat will be targeting Bluefin tuna, and could go to offshore Mexican waters, or to San Clemente Island (TBD).
Experience Level: Anglers with experience are preferred.
Accommodations: Stateroom assignments, majority are two-person rooms, with (2) three-person rooms
Crew On Board: Captain Andy Cates and crew members, plus Charter Captain Mark Moffat
Meals:
All meals will be included and snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be tallied and paid by attendees on our way back to port. On the boat, Beer is $4 and soda is $2. Passengers are allowed to bring their own drinks as well. There is a water system on the boat, just bring a water bottle or cups will be provided.
Raffle Prizes:
Raffle prizes with incredible fishing gear will be given away to our attendees.
Jackpot:
$25 to enter the jackpot. It will be a cash split of 50%, 30%, 20%, for first, second, and third places. In addition, there are prizes which are; First place: Calstar blank certificate, Second place: Bulk spool of Izorline, Third Place: Red Rooster III t-shirt. Trolling jackpot for largest fish is a Red Rooster III jacket.
