Description 
Paul A. Kettenburg. Commodore 1965. Kettenburg, born in San Diego on December 10, 1913, spent his youth in activities at the foot of Kellogg Street on San Diego Bay. Kettenburg lived from 1933 to 1943 in Chicago, became a member of the Chicago Yacht Club, and sailed on Lake Michigan. After World War II, Paul and his brother George dominated the boating industry in San Diego as yacht designers at Kettenburg Boat Works. Paul has owned several of his business; designs which inclube K38-1 "Tomboy," K40-1 "Tomboy II," K50, "Tomboy III," K43, "Tomboy IV," and K41, "Tomboy V." Kettenburg has preferred sailing except in the mid-1920s, when he favored speedboat racing. He served as commodore of the Southern Claifornia Yachting Association in 1966 and Pacific Coast Yachting Association in 1969. He is married to Dorothy; son Tom and daughter Carol, marred to Hack Dubbs, are also club members.
