We have a great event planned with many of the same activities from recent past years with a few new twists:
Friday afternoon/evening events will kick off the regatta with a Med Style gathering at SDYC front dock. There will be some hosting and cash bar on the docks. Dockside vessels are asked to have additional snacks on transoms. During this event Jim Oberg and his Committee will be conducting the boat inspections for those yachts that enter the concours.
Saturday will feature Buoy Racing in Coronado Roads followed shoreside by Rose' and Cheese Reception outside the Sailing Classroom. This event is scheduled to commence at 5pm and will roll right into the Concours Awards & Butcher Boy Presentation by MMSD's Ray Ashley. Ray will give a quick history of the Butcher Boy and the restoration in the planning at the MMSD that will hopefully drive up the donations for the Sunday Charity Race. The Butcher Boy has a rich SDYC history.
Sunday will feature the Charity Bay Race and the Awards presentation. The Charity Cup will start off the SDYC like past years and this year the event will benefit the MMSD's Butcher Boy restoration project. The Awards Ceremony will book end the event and commence at approximately 4pm.
See the NOR for additional details. We look forward to a great event made possible by your entry.
