At the Annual Meeting this Monday, December 12, Commodore Reiter and the Buffalo Beach Committee introduced the plans for the new construction out at Buffalo Beach. An SDYC Lodge along with 3 smaller cabins will be built over the next two years which will provide very nice weather/insect/buffalo proof accommodations for our members. As with every improvement come the costs, and while the BOD has committed money to the project, we are requesting donations (fully tax deductible) from the membership to support our efforts to make these cabins up to the quality you expect.
Plankowners will have their names engraved on the Buffalo Trophy pictured here to be displayed in our San Diego Clubhouse and also on tiles creating a gathering patio below the deck of the new SDYC Lodge on Buffalo Beach.
A donation of $500 or more to the SDYC Sailing Foundation is all we ask to become a plankowner.
You may either have it added to your SDYC statement or give a check made out to the “SDYC Sailing Foundation” with “Buffalo Beach Project” on the Memo Line.
All donors will receive a confirmation letter of their donation for tax purposes.
To be able to deduct your donation in 2016, it will be necessary to submit either your check or request to have it added to your December statement by December 28.
Our goal is to have 100 SDYC members join the Plankowner family.
