GOAL: 29er speed/boat-handling clinic. We will have multiple coaches (coaching staff is expected to include Willie McBride and Dane Wilson) and will divide teams into training groups based on their skill/experience level in skiffs.
SAILOR SKILL LEVEL: Sailors should have some 29er experience or at least one year of experience in a double-handed boat with trapeze/spinnaker. If you are unsure if this clinic is right for you, please contact JJ Fetter and/or Giselle Nyenhuis.
ENTRY FEE: $100/SDYC members, $125/non-members ($150/sailor after January 15)
NEED A TEAMMATE AND/OR A BOAT? Please contact JJ Fetter and/or Giselle Nyenhuis and we may be able to pair you with a teammate. Limited 29er charter/loaner boats may be available as well.
SCHEDULE:
Saturday: 10AM – 5:30PM Clinic and debrief, pizza dinner included
Sunday: 10AM – 4PM Clinic and debrief, after sailing snacks included
MEALS: Sailors should bring their own lunch, on the water snacks, and water.
VENUE: Training may be in South San Diego Bay.
GEAR: Be prepared to be on the water sailing for 3 to 4 hours each day. Bring appropriate gear, dry bags with extra gear, and plenty of quick, healthy snacks to keep you going!
