The 2012 PC Fleet Championship will be held May 19 and 20. The format will be similar to the Nationals with 3 races Saturday and 2 races Sunday. Coronado Yacht Club will be our host club and their Race Committee will be running the races.

After a few years and hours of hard work by many different people and certainly the PC Association members, the latest revision of the PC class rules are in print. Changes made were given serious thought and were not made without consideration to the boats, fleet members wishes and all those who contributed to the end product. Special thanks to SDYC member Greg Stewert, Bud Caldwell, Bennet Greenwald, Tom Hurlburt and Geves Kenny for bringing it all together.

The New Years Day race was something else for the PC fleet and everyone else! NO wind and fleets that started 12 minutes ahead of us were still on the line. We were just behind the line at the start but did not get across for one hour.

Welcome to the new year! You will see that the 2012 PC Race schedule is posted on the "Racing" page. Thanks to Fleet Captain Geves for making it available to us. I have also recently learned that PC #49, SEACHASE, is now for sale.

I am often asked if any PC's are for sale or if any owners are looking for partnerships. Now is a good time to become involved with the fleet as we have a number of boats looking for homes or partners.

It was announced that the Fleet Officers will remain the same for 2012. Thanks to all of you who are serving. It is a lot of work on our behalf and we could not have such a great fleet without your efforts.

As always, there is a lot going on with the PC Fleet. Our Fleet Captain is doing a great job scheduling the 2012 race series and keeping us all informed as to present activities.

As you know, the 79th PC Nationals are scheduled for September.  Arrangements are already being made for the BBQ and deck trophy award party.

This month we will enjoy the usual fantastic 4th of July party sponsored by and held at our club! The many members who give so much of their time to make events like this a huge success make our club what it is.
