Paul Hartley Sr.

Paul J. Hartley Sr. was the patriarch of the well known "Hartley Family" of Point Loma. Among his many accomplishments were the offices of 3rd District San Diego City Councilman, Deputy Mayor, President of the Kiwanis Club and one time "Mr. San Diego". Mr Hartley was the founder of the Hartley Insurance business, which lead to the Hartley Real Estate business. Anyone who spent much time around Point Loma or San Diego Bay would recognize Paul sailing his beloved PC #8 WINGS (Now part of the San Diego Maritime Museum fleet) usually with a multitude of youngsters aboard.
