Hilyard Brown

1910-2003

Hilyard Brown was a well known Hollywood Art Driector who was associated with many well known films such as Cleopatra. His second love was PC sailing. Sailing PC's #11 and 51, both named FIRST FIDDLE, he won the PC Nationals 3 times in 1959, 1966 and 1980. Hilyard also won numerous races and championships in the LA area over the years. He was Staff Commodore at the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club and raced at many other clubs as well. Through the efforts of crew member and friend, Dave Holmes, many of his trophies are in posession of the SDYC PC Fleet.
