SDYC hosted the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference (PCCSC) Championships in April. Friday and Saturday 11 teams sailed in the 80th Anniversary PCCSC Coed Championship (http://scores.collegesailing.org/s16/pccsc-coed/). They were vying for the 4 qualification berths to the Coed Nationals (http://2016nationals.collegesailing.org/) which we will host at the end of May. SDYC hosted the first Pacific Coast Collegiate Regatta in 1936 in PC's and our own Doug Giddings won for the University of Arizona.

Sunday 6 teams fought for 2 spots for the Team Race Nationals, also here at the end of May. The PCCSC Team Race Championship (http://scores.collegesailing.org/s16/pccsc-team-race-carter-ford/) has been happening since 1970 (http://pccsc.collegesailing.org/hall-of-fame/awards/carter-ford).

Congratulations to Stanford University, UC Santa Barbara, University of Hawaii, and USC for finishing 1st through 4th in the Coed Championship, qualifying for Nationals. And to Stanford University and UC Santa Barbara for qualifying for the Team Race Championships.
