The 29er tandem of Zack Downing and Andrew Cates were the top local finishers during the recent ISAF Youth Worlds qualifying regatta at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club.
The SDYC team finished 3rd in the 13-boat fleet, two spots ahead of the SDYC team of Patrick Snow-Storm Brown. Also worth noting, Stirling Henken sailing with JP Barnes finished 8th, Paris Henken 9th, and Katlin Driscoll 11th.
Among the 17 boats in the International 420 fleet, SDYC’s Georgie Ryan and crew Greer Wattson were 9th. Scott Sinks and James Trotter finished in 11th, Jack Ryan and Charlie Miller 14th.
SDYC’s Richard Didham was 22nd among the 45 entries in the Laser Radial fleet.
