San Diego NOOD Regatta Registration Is Open

It's time to get ready for the 2012 sailing season! In 2 months we'll be welcoming all of you to the San Diego NOOD and the second NOOD of the season. The San Diego dates for this coming year are March 16-18. Join us, as we celebrate our 25th NOOD year. Once again San Diego Yacht Club, Mission Bay Yacht Club and Coronado Yacht Club are our hosts. We're busy getting ready and we look forward to welcoming all of you to the 2012 San Diego NOOD.

NEW PARTY FORMAT FOR 2012!
We're celebrating 25 years of NOOD Regattas, so don't be left out of the NOOD parties this year. All NOOD Parties will be held at the San Diego Yacht Club. Stay tuned for our new party format and join us each night after racing. Save big time!  Pre-purchase additional party tickets for your entire crew and enjoy a $10 savings per ticket! Pre-purchased tickets for the entire weekend are $45 and $55 at the door.

WIDER SELECTION OF NOOD APPAREL NOW AVAILABLE
For the 2012 season we're pleased to announce that we now have a much larger selection of NOOD apparel to choose from on-site, and with a wider range of colors.  We have partnered with Coral Reef Sailing Apparel who will be on-site at the San Diego Yacht Club selling NOOD branded regatta gear along with NOOD technical gear from Gill.  Pre-ordering will be available for the first time too, so stay tuned to the San Diego portion of the NOOD Sailing World website and get your 2012 NOOD gear early!

REGISTRATION DETAILS:
A minimum of six boats is required for a class to remain eligible. Due to the number of classes anticipated at this event, entrants should be aware that there is a possibility that certain classes may be started together but still scored separately. A $50 late fee (in addition to the entry fee) will start on February 27, 2012 at 5 p.m. EST, so don't forget to get your entries in on time. This is an additional fee if you register or pay on or after this date past 5 p.m. EST. Please note this deadline when sending mailed or faxed entries.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION DETAILS:
For all classes racing 3 days, Registration will be held at the Coronado Yacht Club and San Diego Yacht Club between 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15 or between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16. For those sailing out of Mission Bay Yacht Club Registration will be between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. at Mission Bay Yacht Club.

For classes competing 3 days, a Skipper's Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 15 at Coronado Yacht Club at 6:30 p.m. In addition, one will be held Friday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Diego Yacht Club and at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Bay Yacht Club.

For classes competing 2 days, further registration will be held between 8:00 and 9:00 am Saturday, March 17 at the San Diego Yacht Club and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Mission Bay
Yacht Club.

A Skipper's Meeting, for those classes competing two days, will be held in the main tent Saturday, March 17 at 9:00 a.m. at the San Diego Yacht Club or 9:30 a.m. at Mission Bay Yacht
Club (if necessary).

Each boat owner or his/her representative must report to a Yacht Club to complete registration details.

Crew lists and waivers of liability must be submitted by close of registration. No boat will be registered as an entrant without a completed waiver form. In the event of a crew member substitution during the regatta, the new crew member must submit a signed waiver of liability to Sailing World prior to racing for that boat's entry to remain valid.
