SDYC's signature spring regatta is just around the corner. With 3 days of racing (Friday Match Race, Sat/Sun ocean fleet racing, 3 nights of social events, daily prizes, overall awards, great sponsors and high competition, this is a weekend at SDYC not to be missed!

The 2012 CA Dreamin' Series Match Race in Long Beach, a.k.a., the Butler Cup, was hosted by Long Beach Yacht Club on March 17-18, 2012, and was to be sailed in their fleet of Catalina 37 Sailboats.

The Ficker Cup took place at Long Beach Yacht Club, right in Los Alamitos in Long Beach, CA. The yacht club owns a fleet of Catalina 37’s that have been designed and modified precisely for match racing off of Belmont Pier.

The California Dreaming Series is comprised of three match race regattas hosted by Long Beach Yacht Club, St Francis Yacht Club, and San Diego Yacht Club.

America's Cup Skipper from Team ORACLE Racing Jimmy Spithill came straight from the airport after a long day of travel and entertained a group of 150+ members and juniors last night with a great presentation.

This weekend, the 29er class held its annual “29er Mid-Winters West" at Coronado’s South Bay. Coronado Yacht Club hosted this event again, with the assistance from Ayres Hotels.

Buffalo Beach is a popular summertime destination for SDYC members.  As is tradition, the "High Season" tent rentals sell out quickly.  This Saturday March 17th, Buffalo Beach Club Members of Comm and V/C level may sign up in the Dockmaster's Office at 9:00 AM.

The women who attended the March 6th Luncheon were treated to great show from Tiffany & Company.  A short video informed us about the history of the company and its contributions to jewelry since 1837.
