Please remember that all SDYC members have equal access to the amenities at Buffalo Beach. It does not matter if members are staying on a boat, in a tent, or are using the facility for the day.

GALLEY

The Galley has two BBQ’s, a four-burner cook top, pots, pans, plates, and dishwashing area. Campers and boaters shall cooperate with each other on their cooking and eating times. All facilities will be shared. Tables must be cleared off and cleaned when not in use. There will be no "reserving" of tables by leaving personal items on them.

HEADS

Our septic system supports two heads and one shower. Rinse off all sand before taking a shower, and TP is the only foreign object that should be flushed down the heads.

BOATS

Two Lasers are available for member use while the Beachmaster is on site. Kayaks and windsurfer boards can be used anytime.

ICE MACHINE

Ice is available to all SDYC members. Use the scoop when gathering ice. The ice machine is for ice only, not for food or drink storage.

DRY FOOD STORAGE

A shed is provided for food storage with a designated area for each tent. Food should not be left behind when you depart. It is tempting to think that you are doing a good turn to the next group arriving, but the reality is that this discarded food deteriorates while taking up valuable storage space.

TENTS

Five tents are available. Please see the tent section of this website for more information.

LAUNDRY

Our neighbors (The Catalina Experience) have a coin operated laundry available for our use. Please check with the Beachmaster for location and availability.

TRASH & GARBAGE

Boaters may not bring trash ashore. The "Salad Bowl" boat is available for trash disposal at a nominal charge and runs to White's Landing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the summer. If you cannot use the Salad Bowl, please either dispose of your trash in Avalon or bring it back to San Diego.
